As part of the upcoming Employment Rights Bill, many organisations are now beginning to plan for the introduction of Menopause Action Plans, a new requirement expected to apply to employers with 250+ employees. From April 2026, action plans will be encouraged on a voluntary basis, becoming mandatory from 2027..
These plans are designed to ensure workplaces actively support employees experiencing menopause and related health concerns. Expected focus areas include:
-
Building manager awareness and confidence in discussing menopause
-
Creating clear routes for staff to raise menopause-related concerns
-
Reviewing wellbeing and health benefits
-
Making practical workplace adjustments such as flexible working, temperature control, and dress code considerations
For many organisations, the biggest challenge is not simply policy creation, but how to retain experienced staff, reduce sickness absence, and provide practical, timely support for employees experiencing menopause and peri-menopause in real time.
This is where our Women’s Health and Workplace Support Programmes can help.
Alongside training, we now offer a structured workplace menopause support pathway delivered by an experienced Registered Mental-Health Nurse (RMN) clinician specialising in mood, menopause and workplace wellbeing.
This service is designed to sit alongside existing Occupational Health (OH) and Employment Assistance Programme (EAP) provision, providing a specialist clinical menopause support layer that bridges the gap between brief EAP interventions and traditional OH referral pathways. This ensures employees receive timely, targeted menopause support without overloading internal services.

Our menopause support services include:
Direct Staff Support Services
-
Individual menopause and peri-menopause clinical assessments
-
Symptom mapping and mental health screening
-
Practical next-step planning and GP liaison where required
-
Support with workplace adjustments and self-management strategies
-
Ongoing review and follow-up support where appropriate
This approach supports staff to remain well at work, reduces long-term sickness absence, improves retention of experienced employees, and protects workforce productivity.
