GTS-MedOH has partnered with industry experts to bring you a range of occupational health training courses. We can deliver training online and face to face, covering a range of topics including, audiometry, spirometry, vision and immunisations.​​​​Occupational Health Training Dates 2025

Occupational Health Immunisation Update

A blended online and 1/2 day practical training course, covering each element of the sections for the National Minimum Standard and Core Curriculum for Immunisation Training for Registered Healthcare Practitioners.  Online course content to be completed before practical session. 

​

Sections include; 

  • The immune system & how it works 

  • Different types of vaccines 

  • Vaccine preventable disease: Influenza, Dip/Tet/Polio, Varicella, Meningitis, Pneumonia, Hep A, Hep B, Measles, Mumps and Rubella

  • Current issues and controversies

  • Communicating with parents and patients

  • Correct administration of vaccines

  • Adverse events following immunisation

  • Optimising immunisation uptake

  • Covid - 19 vaccines 

 

1/2 day practical syllabus; 

  • Draw up from a glass ampoule (adrenaline and / or dilute)

  • Reconstitution

  • Multi-dose draw

  • Landmarking the deltoid and the thigh

  • IM/SC injection technique 

  • Adverse reactions including anaphylaxis, use of adrenaline and autoinjectors

  • Basic life support adult and child
